The Opportunity

We are working exclusively with a tier one contractor on a major heavy rail D and C project on the outskirts of Brisbane. to source a permanent Senior Project Engineer Track. This is a critical role and the SPE will be responsible and accountable for delivering the track component on this multi-disciplinary project.

The suitable candudate will be responsible for coordinating all on-site engineering functions for track projects, ensuring the successful delivery of construction activities on time and within budget. The SPE will be responsible for bridging the gap between design and construction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Management: Manage all on-site engineering functions, providing technical and administrative guidance to the team. One PE will report into this position.
  • Project Delivery: Oversee the execution of track work, ensuring project completion is on time and within budget. Accurately forecast costs and revenue.
  • Technical Compliance: Monitor the quality of incoming materials, check work drawings and specifications against site conditions.
  • Coordination & Staging: Lead constructability and staging, coordinating and allocating resources effectively.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key liaison with all key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and participate in the design review process.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate engineering experience, with 4+ years in a site-based project role.
  • Demonstrable experience on projects valued in excess of $40 Million.
  • Rail track delivery experience
  • Exceptional commercial acumen.
  • Thorough understanding of Quality, Safety, Environmental, and Design Management Plans.
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications
  • A relevant Engineering degree.
